You should know by now I am HERE FOR THE NATIONAL HOLIDAYS. Wherever you are, this evening is the perfect night to go to or recreate a Drive In movie. The closest one to me happens to be Showboat Drive In Movie in Hockley, Texas.
I’ve gone a few times and each time I think I enjoyed the excitement of being outdoors, the snacks, and the memory I get of building palettes and forts in my living room on the floor.
When planning your next Drive In Movie day, I highly recommend you come prepared. Yes, pretty sure there will be a concession with snacks galore but what about the real essentials to make you feel like you are watching in the comforts of your own home?
No worries! I’ve got you covered.
Now obviously these are things you need to purchase upon arrival but certain items will definitely enhance the outdoor stargazing evening along with the movie premiere.
Although it is the summer, sometimes you want a nice blanket covering to make things cozy. I love this blanket from Bed Bath & Beyond – a star throw blanket in multiple colors.
Keeping with the starry theme, battery operated twinkle lights give a great glow for your vehicle without the harshness of a flashlight. Add *more sparkle to your night with these twinkle lights.
You can opt for regular throw pillows but perhaps you want to lounge a bit and this backrest pillow is perfect! With memory foam you don’t want to move…get as comfortable as you can with this pillow!
I don’t know about you but here in Texas everything is bigger, including our mosquitoes. Don’t forget repellant of some sort unless you love the sound of minor buzzing and humming in your ear.
Most importantly visit the concession stands and grab your favorite snacks. Be sure to get a mix of savory, sweet and salty. I’m sure you want to change it up as the movie progresses.
What movie are you headed to go see? Let me know in the comments below!
Don’t forget to pin this to your Pinterest and I’ll meet you over there!
